Any way to create users automatically from AD groups?

Any way to create users automatically from AD groups?

I don't know if we're creating users in the best way possible so I wanted to see if there are any alternative ways that could save us a bunch of time.

When we have a new person, I go into Admin / Users and then click the Add User button. I check the Integrated Security box and then search for the user in AD. I then have to assign them to a Role, set permissions, etc.

What I'd like to do is have RDM look at certain groups that we have in AD and create users based on that. SO if I have an AD group called Team-IT, then anyone in that group would automatically be able to use RDM. Also, that anyone in Team-IT would get set with specific roles and permissions.

Then if I had a group called Team-Helpdesk, those people would get access to RDM but the Team-Helpdesk people would get different roles and permissions from the IT people.

This way any time we have a new person and create their ID in AD and put them in the group for their department, they would automatically get access to RDM without anyone have to do anything.

Is there any way to do anything like that or do all users need to be created manually no matter what?

Thanks,

Hello,

The only Datasource that provide AD integration where group membership drives the security system in RDM is Devolutions Server.
You can consult our Online Help about Devolutions Server for more information.

The user will be automatically created when it connect for the first time on the Datasource.
You can find information about this on our Online Help in the topic Automatic User Account Creation.
