Hello,
to use Single-Sign-on for RDP connections, I would like to save my username and password on RDM. I tried to type my credentials under "My Account Settings"/"My Personal Credentials" but the field password is grayed out.
Do you know why the field is disabled?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Aysun

Hello,
Normally this is disabled because of a policy or setting.
The relevant info should be in our Help - Diagnostic window. The second line is "Support local password saving". Could you check if it has a green check or a red X
Thanks
Maurice
Hello,
I've checked the Setting. "Support local Password saving" has a green check.

Hello,
Do you have access to write in %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager?
In %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager, do you see a file name Credentials.rdt?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
It's also possible that it's disabled because of a policy in the Administration->Data Source Settings

Hello,
thank you for the hint. I've removed the check "Disable Password saving (shared)" and the field is active now.

Hello,
is it possible to define a "credential type" for RDP connections in a central place e.g. File/options?
I've typed my credentials in "My personal credentials" -> Username/password. Then I've selected "My personal credentials" as credential type for each folder.
Now I would like to define a credential type Inherited for RDP connections and in a global place - if possbible - because there are lots of RDP connections to edit.
regards,
Aysun
Hello,
I'm not sure what you mean, I think you want to fix existing sessions and make sure that new sessions are using inherited as well.
For sessions created in the future, you must use our Default Settings feature. http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/file_template_defaultsettings.htm
For existing sessions, use our Batch Edit mode http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/edit_batch.htm

Hello,
many thanks. I used Batch edit for existing sessions.
I've one more question.
When an user – who hasn't saved his credentials - opens with double click a RDP connection or a custom Macro/Script for a RDP link, he gets a selection of some tools to save credentials.
Is it possible to disable this view? If an user doesn’t want to save his credentials, then the Windows login screen should appear or the custom scripts should be executed as normal.

Aysun
Hello Aysun,
If your session is configure to use My Personal Credential, RDM will open this window if the My Personal Credential is not configure.
Maybe you can configure your session to use Default, Inherited or Credential Repository (the one you prefer) and use your My Personal Credential through the User Specific Settings feature
