add new embedded Putty session

avatar

hi!
When creating a new embedded Putty session one is prompted to enter a session name (which is disabled due to "Embedded session" being selected).

Expected behaviour: The error should not be displayed and the settings saved.

Workaround: Select "Use these settings" and configure session without entering/selecting a session name

Hi,
I have assigned this to Hubert to verify what we can do.

Hello,

The "embedded session" option saves the value from the selected PuTTY session encrypted in RDM. This means you can use the session on another computer that doesn't have that specific session, and still keep the same settings you had when first creating that entry in RDM.
If you want to only pass a host/username/password, using "use these settings" would be the appropriate way. If you want to pass a session but don't want to embed it, using "session" would be the way.

I hope this answers your issue.
