Import from ASG Remote Desktop 2015 fails

Import from ASG Remote Desktop 2015 fails

avatar

Hello,

we want to migrate to Remote Desktop Manager Enterprise.
Now, I have exported all our ASG Remote Desktop Data and want to import it to RDME.
Export is successfull, ASG RD can import its files.
Import in RDME does not work - neither in RDE nor in CSV-format.
Can somebody give me a hint what I have to change in the settings?

Regards,
Georg

Hi,
Do you get an error message? What format do you use when you don't use the csv format?

Yes - I get "Unable to load sessions from file" with the rde-file.
With the CSV I get "Invalid CSV Format".

Could you provide us a sample without your sensitive information?

I tested this in RDM Beta 11.1.3.0 as well as in version 11.1.0.0, and the test file seems to work. Do you have the issue with the test file too? There might be an option inside ASG Remote Desktop that we didn't take into account in the import which might be missing from the test file but not your real one.

Hi,

please find attachment.
This is a file that is not working.
I could not identify the problem; only 2 folders are not working for us. The other ones work.

Thank you, there was a problem parsing the log file for SSH sessions which caused the issue. This will be fixed in the next version of RDM beta, and this should hopefully fix your issues.

Hi,

thanks for the quick help.
When can we expect the new release? As I told you before, we would like to migrate soon and have a slightly bigger setup here.
BTW: you should change visionApp to ASG...

And one other, little bit off-topic question: Is there a way to prevent RDME to ask if the program should be closed? I only want to b asked if I have opened an opened shession. But if not, it should stop asking me "do you really want to close me?" ...

Kind regards,
Georg

Hello Georg,

For your second question, you can disable that option by unchecking Ask confirmation on application close in File -> Options -> Application Close.

As for the next version, we should have a new beta in a few days.
