Remote session mucks up local kayboard ALT_GR button

We are several users who experience that sometimes while remote desktop manager is running the AltGR key stops working on the local keyboard of the machines running RemotedektopManager. Holding ALTGr+another key does nothing. If you go the remote desktop and repeat the action, it works there and then also works on the local host again. This problem occurs regularly, and has done so for many versions of Remote desktop manager (including the current 2.1.0.0) I have seen this problem on windows 7,8 and 10 workstations

Hello,

For most keyboards out there, the AltGR (much like the right ALT) will simply do a CTRL-ALT. Being that we do have shortcuts that do use the CTRL-ALT combination, it should do something. For instance, in a RDM that has no sessions running, pressing either

CTRL-ALT-Q or RALT-Q or AltGr-Q should show the quick connect dialog.

When you say that the AltGr key doesn't work, do you have the specific key combinations that are not working? I cannot fathom why all of them would not work.

Best regards,

Maurice

I live in Denmark, and am using a Danish keyboard where both \ and @ are accessed by using ALTGR so as you can imagine as a windows sysdamin not being able to type a backslash is rather limiting.

I can confirm this issue, with Icelandic keyboard layout, sometime the Alt-Gr key stops working. To fix I have to give RDM focus and minimize again.
