I got a Windows 2008 R2 server that also acts as a Hyper-V server. I'd like to connect to a virtual machine with RDP (using Hyper-V embedded mode) and that fails. The docs only tell about Hyper-V v2 on Windows 2012 R2 but not whether v1 is supposed to work with Windows 2008 R2 - or only on Windows 2012, where I got it to work nicely.
So before I try further - should Hyper-V RDP (and the Hyper-V Console session type) work Windows 2008 R2?
Best regards, Thomas.
Oh wait. I've tried to implement my Hyper-V RDP session in a sub-connection. If I "unparent" that sub-connection and apply my user-specific access credentials, the connection to a Hyper-V virtual machine starts working. I will investigate whether that is a question of wrong credentials or something else.
Best regards, Thomas.
Ha! That guest was me. Your forum keeps logging me out before I can put my thoughts into proper English. Most of the times I loose all my work when that happens. This time my post appeared as Guest, which is better but probably won't work in all sub-forums. The real solution would be to lengthen the timeout for foreigners, please please :-)
Best regards, Thomas.
Hi Thomas,
I will check with our web developer for the timeout.
