... affects Status Bar instead.
Hello,
By footer, do you mean this bar?
Please note that you can change the keyboard shortcuts in File -> Options -> User Interface -> Keyboard.

No, I use your terminology. That bar is Status Bar. Footer is the one above it that has tabs Description, Information, Attachments, Sub Connections and Logs. And I call it footer because that's what it's called in the Top Pane (Ribbon/Menu Bar) > View tab > Footer section (to the right of the Layout section). Hope it's clear now, otherwise I'll have to look for a place to upload pics.
I know I can change the keyboard shortcuts. There are two entries listed under Options > User Interface > Keyboard > View: Footer Pane and Status Bar. They both affect Status Bar and there is none (or I did not find it) that affects Footer.
Hi,
I see what you mean. I will verify what we can do. The hide footer button is supposed to be used with the Classic UI. It's harder to hide the default UI because of all the possible docking.

Can't be very hard. The close (x) button at the top-right corner of the footer closes one tab at a time, but if you right-click on the footer's title bar area and pick Close from the menu, the whole footer disappears. (The only way to get it back, by the way, is to Reset Layout. But I'm not complaining about that.) My point is, there is a "hook" for closing the footer already, it just needs to be linked to the appropriate keyboard shortcut entry, which in my view is "Footer Pane" in Options > User Interface > Keyboard > View.
Hi,
I reworked the status barr and footer menus. This should be better in the next update.
