howto reset Chrome (embedded) cache?

avatar

hi!
we recently switched back two of our wifi access points from OpenWRT firmware to the stock one.

OpenWRT always appended/redirected (i assume via 301/302) to "/cgi-gin/luci".

thus when we now try to open the session (which was and is set to open http://192.168.1.125) the old redirect "takes place", resulting in a 404 error or endless reloads.

how can we clear the embedded Chrome?
also, is there an option to start the embedded Chrome in private mode? this would prevent this from happening in the first place?

thanks in advance!

Hello,
I will ask our dev to check if it's possible.

Hello,

Sorry for the wait. It should be possible to do this, we'll have to take a look at how to do this with our third party.

Hello,

I do have the same need for our implementation.
Is there a way to start the session as if it was a Chrome's private session ?

Thank you,

Hello,

Unfortunately there is currently no way to start it in a "private" mode using our third party. It should be possible to clear the cache but we're limited in what we can do. This is still on our todo list, thank you for your interest.

Well. In case you need a beta tester. I'm yours ;-)
Because of this, I won't be able to use the internal browser :-(

Hubert,

Just a last post to give voice to be able to use the internal browser (Chrome) in PRIVATE mode.
I understood you do not have much control on it but with the external browser, we are missing:
- The possibility fo "Prompt for comment on close".
- The great way to change the Tab color for production systems.
- The "Warn if already opened".
- The "All in one experience".

So if at any time, you can put this in your roadmap, this would be a really good news for our company.

Best regards,

Pierre

Thank you for the suggestions Pierre, we'll see what we can do about these features and try to integrate them.

Unfortunately it's pretty difficult to achieve this with the external browser, which would mean the private mode for embedded Chrome would be the way to go, especially since it's a very interesting feature.
We will try and contact our third party to see if they could add this option in.

Thanks. I definitely prefer the embedded Chrome anyway.
Looking forward for this.

Thanks.

Good news, we're going to enable private mode for embedded chrome web browser sessions with beta version 11.1.3.0! When it'll be out, could you give us some feedback?
