Versions: RDM 11.0.9.0, PVM 7.0.1.0, windows 7 enterprise
1. PVM: start
2. PVM: enter google auth code
3. RDM: start
4. RDM: connect to ssh target using credentials stored in PVM
[so far, everything is OK - however, starting RDM first always result in a hang in PVM when the credentials are accessed]
5. lock windows desktop session
6. wait some time (5-15m)
7. unlock desktop desktop session
8. [forget to unlock PVM with google auth code]
9. RDM: connect to ssh target using credentials stored in PVM
10. PVM: google auth prompt appears
11. PVM: and now we're hung and will never come back
Sometimes force-quitting PVM and restarting can recover.
Basically, RDM/PVM integration seems highly unstable, resulting in PVM either locking up or no credentials ever being returned to RDM.
I don't know if my use-case is non-standard or if something could be done by me to prevent PVM from locking, other than baby-sitting it and making sure it's not auth-locked before requiring RDM.
Hello,
I've been able to reproduce your issue and a bug ticket has been opened.
Actually, the problem is caused by Google Authentication when PVM is locked.
As a work around until the issue is fixed, I suggest you the use of an application password, or simply unlock PVM before launching the RDM entry.
Best regards,
Jean-Philippe Charest

Yeah, that's been my strategy since I've first encountered this issue. It's when I forget to unlock PVM first, that is frustrating, as I have to kill PVM and sometimes restart RDM.
Glad you were able to repro!
