I am trying RDM 11.0.7.

With "SSH shell (rebex)" there is an option "Prompt for credential", whereas it's not available with "SSH Shell".

Is it possible to add it ?

Hello,

By "prompt for credentials" do you mean the "always ask for password" checkbox (see screenshot)? It would be easy to add this for the SSH Shell. If this is not what you mean, could you take a screenshot or describe where to find this option you want? Thank you.

We discussed and we will add the "always ask for password". It will be available in the next version.

Sorry, but by "Prompt for credentials" i mean "OPEN (prompt for credentials)" , not "Always ask for password".

"OPEN(prompt for credentials" isn t with "SSH Shell" (new in RDM 11), whereas it is with "SSH Shell (Rebex)" and "Putty".

Is it possible to add it ?

My issue is when connecting to SSH shell sessions, there is no "USER" prompt, only password.
Why I am not getting the username prompt?

@zeekworld,

As I remember, the username field cannot be empty in RDM. You would need to saved at minimum the username inside the session.

If you don't want to save any credentials inside the session, in your dashboard, pressing the Open (Prompt for credentials) button will allow you to enter the username and password to authenticate without saving it in RDM.

Thank you for the quick response, yes, tried the Open (Prompt for credentials) button and this did the trick.
