Batch edit Folders, find using Advanced Search

I want to batch edit permissions on a bunch of folders named 'Docs' buried inside other groups. I can find them all using advanced search, can select them all, but when I choose to show in Navigation view it doesn't select them, just drops back out the the Navigation window. If I follow the same procedure with sessions it will select all the sessions in the Navigation window. Is it not supported for Folders or did I miss a step.
