Where on my android phone are the xml datasources created. When I create a datasource the path listed is
/data/data/com.devolutions.remotedesktopmanager/files/Connections.xml (this is the default when I create a new datasource.
However that path does not seem to exist.

Hi Douglas,

The path to the .xml file does exist and the file is saved on the internal storage of your device.
Files saved to the internal storage are private to the application and they cannot be accessed
by users or other applications. That is why the file and path cannot be found.
The only way to access the file is to root your device (which we are not responsible for if a problem occurs).

ok maybe you can suggest a solution for my issue then. I have an xml datasource that I use for my PC installation of remote desktop manager. I want to make it available to the android application.

Hi Douglas,

We suggest using the DOD (Devolutions Online Drive) data source instead of the xml data source.

The DOD data source is free and your data source information will be shared between all your devices.

You have to
1- create a DOD data source with your PC version of Remote Desktop Manager
- optional: In the advanced section you can enter a master key that will be used to encrypt the file content
2- copy your connections from your xml data source and paste them to your DOD data source
3- on your Android device , create a DOD data source and select the same filename as the one you have created in Windows
- If you provided a master key with Windows, do not forget to set the same master key in the advanced section. If you forget
to provide the same master key as windows, the system will not be able to read your connections.

I will give that a shot. For some reason I thought that data source was limited to 15 connections unless you paid separately for it. Maybe that has changed I have not looked at it lately.

Hi Douglas,

The DOD Data Source has no limit.
