Finally we got permission from our security officers to start with Remote Desktop Manager, but....
They want the SQL connection to be secure and the database to be encrypted.
Is this possible ?
Regards
Alex van der Voort
Hello,
Both are possible, but there are subtelties for the encryption of the database.
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms189067(v=sql.105).aspx, you just need to set a flag in the connection string.
As for the encryption http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/administration_securityproviders.htm, you will see that only the connection data is encrypted, not the fields for DB relationship data. If you can affort it, the Enterprise Edition of SQL Server will encrypt the whole database.
Best regards,
Maurice
