Hello,
I am trying to migrate from vRD 2011 to Remote desktop manager. In both cases I want to have data in SQL database.
I was able to transfer all connections from vRD via .vrs file, but I am not able to transfer my credentials (usernames and passwords). This is very important part for me, as I am working with many companies where I have a lot of passwords. I use those credentials to automatically login on the servers and are very important for me.
Is any way to transfer those credentials to Remote desktop Manager thru .vrsb file or something similar?
Thank you for answer.
Elvis
Hello,
Unfortunately we are unable to transfer the credentials. We don't know how it's encrypted therefore we can't load them

OK. Thank you for your answer.
Elvis.
Hi I have another question related to credentials:
In VissionApp we had each administrator, his personal credentials for any company we support. This was useful for us, but here we are unable to create username/password credential and store them as personal credentials. I am not able to write personal credetntials driect to folder (we had companies in folders and we use same credentials for entire company) and this could be a soluton for us. It would be nice as when I change the password, I want to change it only once and for this I need to add credentials only once.
Is somthing like this possible?
THank you again.
Hello Elvis,
If you are using an Advanced Data Source (http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/datasources_advanced.htm), you can use the Private Vault and the User Specific Settings to achieve what you want:
http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/view_navigation_privatevault.htm
http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/edit_userspecificsettings.htm
To store your credentials in the same folder as your sessions, you need to enable the Merge credential list with session option in File -> Options -> User Interface -> Tree View
