Hello there,
we have long time RDMv used 9. We have a elections a central file rasphone.pbk for PPTP. In version 10 (10.6.7), this is a failure. Have some screenshots attached! What needs to be changed in v10, so that I and my colleagues have access to the same "Phonebook"

Hello,

Do you see the connection progress at all?
Is there anything in your event viewer application logs?

We simply call rasphone.exe or radial.exe, RDM itself does not much in this case, we simply send the parameters.

You could test it yourself to see that the issue is not with RDM

USAGE:
rasdial entryname [username [password|*]] [/DOMAIN:domain]
[/PHONE:phonenumber] [/CALLBACK:callbacknumber]
[/PHONEBOOK:phonebookfile] [/PREFIXSUFFIX]

HI,
okay i found the different between v9 and v10 - i run RDPMANAGER.exe in v10 as Administrator - because of my SSL VPNs (OPENVPN) if i run in normal user mode - the OPENVPN Route can't added.

If i Run RDPM as normal User - rasphone.pbk works fine.

How can i combine both ways?

Hello,

Do you mean simply check "Run as administrator", or you also use another account to run it?

I do not see why running with elevated privileges would break rasdial

Yes - "run als Administrator" i Need this Function for openvpn.
What can i do? I test it on different machines. The rasphone.pbk stored on mapped network drive. With offlinesync enable. So i can use the rasphone file even i'm not connected to my Company.

or you can tell me a better way?

Hello,

As per http://superuser.com/questions/105173/how-to-access-network-shares-from-an-elevated-process-in-windows-7

There's a setting that may help (EnableLinkedConnections)

Is it possible to store the pptp settings in RDM?

Hello,

Since the issue stems from the fact that you cannot run Rasdial from an elevated command prompt, we could find a alternate method to launch the openvpn client.

My personal choice would be to sync the phonebook to a local path using any tool out there, but I may be biased by my past issues with earlier implementations of the offline shared folders.
