Hello,
we have RDM Enterprise Edition 8.0.6.0, and we'd like to use the SecureCRT add-on.
The Add-on DLL (SecureCRTAddOn.dll - version 2.0.2.0) file has been copied to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager\".
We have restarted RDM.
In RDM\Tools\Add-on Manager, I cannot see this new add-on popping up.
Could you please advise?
NOTE: this system has no Internet connection, therefore I should make this work with offline installation
Thanks,
S.
Hi,
I suspect that you have a too old version. You could try to download an older version of the add-on. You might have to download the add-on with a RDM 8.0 that has an internet connection to download the latest compatible add-on.

Hello David,
thanks for your quick reply. Well, as I indicated the machine where this version runs, has no Internet connection.
1. Would it be possible for you to publish the required add-on version for RDM 8.0.6.0 if I cannot access it otherwise?
2. Alternatively, would it work, if I just download the same version but trial, install it on a WS with Internet connection, download the add-on with the add-on manager, then copy this file to my licensed version?
Thanks,
S.
Hi,
Yes the second solution should work. Just make sure to use RDM 8. It iwill install it in %LocalAppData\RemoteDesktopManager
From this point you will be able to copy the dll to your machine.

Hello,
unfortunately with the suggested second solution I had no joy :(.
So, on a standalone PC I've installed RDM EE v8.0.6.0, that downloads SecureCRP add-on version 1.8.2.0.
I tried auto installation 1st from Internet, then manual installation.
Auto install did not seem to put the SecureCRTAddOn.dll into the RDM installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager), but to C:\Users[USER]\AppData\Local\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager.
I did try manually install the SecureCRTAddOn.dll (downloaded the ZIP file, then un-extracted into the installation folder), restarted RDM, still no SecureCRT in my New entry \ Remote Connections sessions.
Other than that I did not fine tune or configure RDM. SecureCRT is not installed on this system.
Any advice?
Tx,
S.
Have you tried to install it in the application folder instead?
David Hervieux
Hi David,
sorry, I was not clear. So when I did a manual install I did extract the ZIP file to the application folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager). I did, because I found out the auto install put it into C:\Users[USER]\AppData\Local\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager .
So I have it in both places now.
Regards,
S.

Just make sure to remove it from one the place. It can't work when it's installed both places.

Hello David,
so I tried to put the file "SecureCRTAddOn.dll" to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager
OR
C:\Users[USER]\AppData\Local\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager
It does not make a difference. Unfortunately it does not get recognized by RDM.
Any other suggestion?
Thanks,
S.

The only suggestion would be to upgrade to the latest version. Now is a good time:
