Two Factor Authentication not working on the Mac

Two factor authentication is turned on working using Google authenticator. It works as intended on the Windows side. Our Mac users can login without two factor authentication. There is no prompt at all.

Hi,

May I ask you what type of DataSource (SQLServer, SQLite, Devolutions Server, etc.) are you using?

Thank you

Hi,

First, I just realized that two factors authentication is in the next release of the Mac version that should be available very soon.

Secondly, the two factor authentication configuration you made on the Windows machine won't affect the Mac machine. The Two factor configuration is stored locally on the machine and is not shared. You could have someone use Google authenticator on Windows and a Yubikey on Mac for the same datasource.

The intent stop someone else to access your data by using your computer.

If you want to have the two factor linked to your datasource user you need the Devolutions Server beta version. This datasource allow you to configure a two factor for each user on the server. Remote Desktop Manager will then ask for the two factor when the user connect to the datasource.

Tell me if you have anymore questions.
