..whatever you do with the local data source (..conections.xml) - you do something strange with it.
a) you cannot disable the master passwort. unchecking doesnt work.
b) unchecliong and changing the password disables the password check at start - but now all connections are gone.
As this is kind of the most important file of RDM, I think you should have a thourough look into this..
going back to a backup file luckily..

and importing more than the allowed connections into the cloud (whatever this number is) results in a dialogue box loop. WTF?
..password reset of the cloud account doesn't work either. looks like quite a construction site..
..ok, and finally, after removing all data sources and recreating a new on, my old connections.xml file cannot be imported anymore, only .rdd files are allowed.
so, how do I get my connections back?
..and it continues. now I get asked TWICE for the credentials of the RDM cloud db at startup. And I cannot remove the cloud db as data source. Actually, all changes to all data sources are now immediately forgotten after closing RDM and reopening it.

Hi,
#1 You can't uncheck the master password because it's not a settings it's a state of the file. It's encrypted or not. You need to do a Change master password and File-> Manage Password.
#2 Could you verify if the content of your Xml is encrypted?
#3 Do you use Devolutions Online Database or Online Drive? How many session do you have in your Xml? Online Drive does not have the limitation by the way.
#4 What do you get when you do a password reset? Do you get an error. I've just tried and it works fine for me.
#5 You need to create an empty data source (Xml, SQLite or another one) and after that you will be able to import your Xml.
#6 You can remove the Cloud automatic login in File-> Online Account

#1 - ok, this is not clear. you shoudl remove the master key text entry field there (as it looks like a "password change box to me) and ask for it, when "always ask for master key" is unchecked and the settings are saved (so it is handled for instance in windows backup, task scheduler etc..)
#2 - it is
#3 - good question ;) http://screencast.com/t/rr4QOPPFgv
#4 - it did reset finally. I think between me receiving the new password and you updating the password on your servers is a delay
#5 - nope, this is the import dialogue after creating an empty sqlite data source: http://screencast.com/t/zm7qW5V6DQ
#6 - then you should disable this button when the online data source is selected: http://screencast.com/t/yI5qDfjm
Hi,
#5 There is no import directly in the Data Source dialog. You need to go in File->Import to import the data
#6 Why remove the delete button? This is not the same as the application Online Account login. This one is used for the online backup or the custom installer or to view you account information.
David Hervieux
#5 - so what is this button for? http://screencast.com/t/HzbraUS6O
#6 - ok, I could finally remove the oline/cloud source with the delete button - but I had to sign out of it first in file|online account, close the app, reopen it.
In the end, I didn't dream about these problems. Please have a look a all the data source dialogues scattered around the UI and come up with a streamlined dialogue. every change in this area is a nightmare of creating backups and hoping for the best.
Hi Perler,
The button in this screenshot (http://screencast.com/t/HzbraUS6O) is to export/import your data source configuration.
This will create you a .rdd. This .rdd will contain the information to connect on the data source.
This option is used to export/import the data source configuration on other computers easily.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
