Just updated to OS X 10.11 beta 3 and remote desktop manager is completely unable to launch. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hi,

I tried it on my end and it seems to launch normally.

Might I ask what type of Datasource is your application starting with?

To help me further, it would be highly appreciated if you could send me your RemoteDesktopManager.log file. It is situated at the path : /Users/$USER$/Library/Application Support/com.devolutions.remotedesktopmanager/RemoteDesktopManager.log.

Best regards,

Nothing new written to the log file :( Datasource is just a local instance)

Hi,

I'm sorry for the delay.

I've investigated further and the problem seems to lie within the framework we're using. Unfortunately, I have no date to give you regarding a fix to this issue. The best I can recommend anyone intending to update to OS X 10.11 is to wait for the stable release. As for you, if your need is urgent I'd recommend downgrading back to Yosemite, if at all feasible in your current situation.

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

OK. You stated earlier that you tested it and it was working well. Was this on 10.11 beta 3 as describe in the thread? If so I would like to simply remove it and start over but first I would like to be able to export the connection list. Is there an XML or database where the connections are stored so I don't lose them?

Thanks!

Hi,

This was my error. I was on beta 2. I've came across your exact issue when updating to the beta 3.

Though the software started correctly under beta 2, other issues were found after the launching.

If you didn't change it, the default path of your session, when in a local datasource (XML, SQLite), is at :
/Users/$USER$/Library/Application Support/com.devolutions.remotedesktopmanager/.

If you didn't change the path nor the name of the datasource, it should be something like : "Connections.xml", "Connections2.xml", etc. or "Connections.db", "Connections2.db", etc. To be safe, just copy everything in that folder (com.devolutions.remotedesktopmanager/).

Pasting all the content of that folder afterward in the same directory should put all your datasources and your preferences to what they were before.

Best regards,

Xavier, I have the same experience with OSX 10.11 DP3. I hope you guys can fix this, is it possible to test some beta?
It is for me not possible to go back to an older release of OSX. I need the new versions for development. At the same time I also need RDM :) .

Beta 4 works! :)
