RDM Enterprise 10.6.3.0 freezes on RDP disconnect Server 2012 R2
Dear Support,
we are using RDM Enterprise in Version 10.6.3.0 with 5 people for a while now.
One thing that everyone of us noticed is that sometimes (maybe once a day) RDM freezes when we are logging off RDP sessions from Windows Server 2012 R2 systems. I didn't recognize this problem earlier while running Server 2008 R2 mostly, but since using more and more 2012 servers the error becomes more clear.
It seems that it doesn't matter how many remote sessions are currently running, it can be only one or multiple.
The freeze occurs when you say "Sign out" inside the RDP session and then (before the logoff is complete) switch to another window. (RDM no longer in focus)
But we cannot recreate the problem on purpose, it seems to occur only some times.
The freeze is the windows "... is not responding" message, nothing more to see.
The only thing mentioned in the Event Logs is the default "app hang" message:
#####################################
The program RemoteDesktopManager.exe version 10.6.3.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.
Process ID: 14ac
Start Time: 01d0b9401ac09774
Termination Time: 31
Application Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager\RemoteDesktopManager.exe
Report Id: 4f1e6085-253b-11e5-97f1-180373260112
#####################################
When I choose "Help -> View application Log" there are no entries for the hang.
When I restart the RDM it displays the other sessions that were open when the freeze occurred (if there were any) and asks me if I want to reopen them.
The session that was during log off when the freeze occurred (that caused the freeze) is not mentioned to be reopened!
If you need more information please let me know.
Kind regards,
Dennis Meier
Hi Dennis,
Please have a look at the following blog

Hi Jean-Francois,
I will test it in two steps, I now disabled the RDP plugins via bulk-change.
I'll let go the UDP thing for the moment, as a quick netstat command showed me that all my sessions are currently using TCP.
If the Plugin setting doesn't work I will try the UDP setting after that.
Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
Dennis Meier
Hello Jean-François,
still didn't get the error since the change, it seems like this one helped.
Thank you for your support!
Kind regards,
Dennis
