Issue with ScreenConnect

I first found Remote Desktop Manager when I purchased ScreenConnect earlier this year and saw that you had an extension. I was curious what RDM was and long story short, I bought a few licenses and LOVE it.

When I first set it up I was using RDM 10.1.9 and ScreenConnect 5.2.xxxx. I haven't really used RDM and ScreenConnect together since then, but now I have a server that ScreenConnect is my only way to access it. And now when I go to try using RDM/ScreenConnect it isn't working. Even the test connection I had created 3 months ago that was working isn't working any longer. Here are the details

Versions:
RDM v10.6.4
ScreenConnect v5.3.9037.5640
ScreenConnect RDM extension v1.4

When I check the screen connect extension, I noticed It says "Load Error" and when I hover over it I get this information

Hello Nathan,

It seems they've changed something with how their extensions work in their latest release, causing it to break. Reverting to the previous ScreenConnect version should be a good workaround. I'll try to contact them to see what we can do about this.

That would be great if you could figure out what happened. Rolling back the version isn't an option for me for other reasons so I will just have to log in to ScreenConnect when needing access to this particular server until such time as you able to determine the issue and get it fixed. If possible please do keep us updated.

After communicating with ScreenConnect, we have found the issue and resolved it.

To fix the issue, we will need to make a new build and publish a new version of the extension. I'll get back to you when it'll be possible to get these updates.

Hello Nathan,

The ScreenConnect extension update should be available now (version 1.5) and as long as you have version 5.3 or later of ScreenConnect, I think you might not need to wait for us to make a new build, although it should be available either later today or later this week anyway.

And thanks, our community is an important part of why our product is successful because you guys help us by asking for new features and finding issues we hadn't noticed to fix them!

http://remotedesktopmanager.com/Home/Download#beta The latest beta version of RDM is out and contains the changes for screenconnect. Could you give it a go and see if it works as expected with version 1.5 of the extension?

I updated the extension and installed the Beta.

Now it launches IE, but I get this error:

I changed the settings and I know it is talking to the server because I can filter by a group name (it shows the list of groups I have) and when I check the box "Always ask for a session name" it is showing me the correct sessions to choose from, which is more than it did before.


Additional Spec's if that helps any:
Running Windows 8.1, RDM 10.9.5 Beta and default web browser is Chrome.

I managed to reproduce the issue in our environment and did a fix. It should be available in the next version of RDM (no need for another extension update).

Please note that since a few months now, ScreenConnect as limited (or I can say stop) providing us support regarding the extension and the integration of ScreenConnect in RDM because of our new product Wayk Now - https://wayk.devolutions.net/

What is your issue with ScreenConnect exactly?

Does your ScreenConnect server is hosted on the cloud? If yes, this is not supported in RDM.

And just in the nick of time, good news! :)

We can't reproduce connection issues with ScreenConnect version 6.3 with the extension installed.

The latest version should be 1.8, is the download on the help link still linking to 1.7?

Also, I see in your screenshort that the version is 1.4.
