Hello,
it would be great if "remote desktop manager" could automate the connection toward vmware WebClient.
(webclient is supposed to replace soon the vsphere client).
Webclient can be accessed via web browser:
https://x.x.x.x:9443/vsphere-client/
but it use flash for login authentication (so no html form)
Any chance to see this addon ?
Thx,
A.
The only possibility is to setup a macro in the after connection. This is in the event tab page of the session.
David Hervieux
Hello..
not really working...
Since the URL is https the browser first ask for "There is a problem with this website's security certificate. / Click to close-continue" messages - at that time the macro already fired.
I tried to see any form that could be automate to proceed but no luck...
Thx,
A.
Could you add this certificate in IE before to avoid the message?
David Hervieux
not really.. since the certificate is not officially signed the browser would still warning that.
Moveorver I can't expect all people to add it in the first place...
The other possibility is to execute the auto fill manually. You can uncheck the auto fill property and use the small button to do when you are in embedded mode.

I'm also trying to do that but no luck so far.
VMware is pushing more the web interface and eventually we will need to use it as a primary method to connect to vCenter.
How can we get it to work to fill the credentials? We also have the certificate problem as many shops don't need a certificate for vCenter
Hello,
As I understand, you have a web browser session and the credentials are not sent to the web page.
Could you try the solution propose in this help topic

Best regards,

It didn't work, even if I trigger manually the macro, it doesn't fill the fields. Do you guys have a vCenter web interface to test this on your side?
Hello,
We don't have a vCenter web interface in our environment.
By chance, is there a public URL that you can provide us so that we can test this out. We don't need any credentials, just the public URL (if there's one).
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
I'm going to get one of my colleagues to open a ticket with you guys and then get access to vcenter web interface using a rmeotely connection, thanks
Is there a solution here?
@Daniel Bessler
Could you provide us more information on your issue please.
If you can also include some print screen, this will help.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
