Cloud Portal not working on IE 11

Cloud Portal not working on IE 11

avatar

Hi,

If I try to use the cloud portal (cloud.devolutions.net) on IE11 (Windows 8.1) I can sign in and see my profile and products (like the online database) but as soon as I click something I get redirected to the login screen again. Works fine on the same computer using FireFox. Is IE11 supported?

Hi,
It should be compatible. I will create a ticket and make sure that we check that quickly.

I've verified on a second computer and I'm seeing the same issues.

More specifically: if I try to manage my 'online database' using IE11 I get redirected to the login screen.

If I select Products -> Customer Portal -> Sign In -> I can use the customer portal functionality (like serials and invoices) but as soon as I click on the Online Database functionality I get redirected to the Sign In page and if I sign in I get redirected to the Sign In page again.

If I go directly to the Online Database I get the same experience:
Products -> Online Database -> Sign In -> I get redirected back to the sign page

I don't see a message that my credentials are incorrect and I've copy-pasted the password so I can rule that out.

Using either FireFox or Chrome on the same PC I don't have this issue and can manage the Online Database.

Very odd, we've done some testing here and we are unable to reproduce the issue.

Could you please double check that cookies are enabled and try clearing your IE cache to see if it resolves the issue.

Cookies were (and are) enabled. Clearing the cache (not the cookies) SOLVED the issue on one PC. I'll try my work PC tomorrow and also that of a colleague that had the same problem today.

Great, thank you for the update.

For my other PC it worked as well. For my colleague the issue still exists after clearing the IE cache.

Could this be caused by load balancing?

I'll try and see if the issue reappears on one of my computers as well, if it's caused by load balancing, it probably should.

Hi,
This is really strange. We would have the same issue with Firefox/Chrome if it was caused by the load balancing. Could he try Ctrl+F5 multiple times to refresh the page?

Strange but good, I can reproduce the issue this morning with IE 11. We will investigate.

I've pushed an updated to https://cloud.devolutions.net that should resolve the issue. Please give it a try and let us know.
