I have a couple issues that I hope someone can help with.
1) First noticed this when I switched from a PC to a MAC. As new versions of RDM came out, sometimes the problem went away and then the next update would break it again. I usually have multiple connections opened in tabs at one time. If I log off the server on the active tab and then switch to another tab before that connection completely closes, the new active tab changes goes white. I can no longer see the desktop. I have to X out to close the tab and then reconnect. I never had this issue with the PC version.
2) The new version that I downloaded and installed yesterday (2.5.0.0) randomly disconnects my sessions. It is not an idle timeout, I can be in and working and the connection just drops.
Hi,
We use a third party library called FreeRDP for the embedded sessions and we have a few issue with it right now.
We are working or rectifying the situation as soon as possible.
Thank you for your feedback

Hi,
We just released a new version that might help you with the sessions issues but it also contain 2 new really nice features.
You can download it here http://mac.remotedesktopmanager.com/Home/Download.
The first feature is RDP session logging. This will allow your Embedded RDP session to log everything it does behind the scene in a file.
Just set the filter like the screen shot and set the file to a unique file for your session like this:
You can then send the file to us so we can analyse what is going on. Careful this file will contain sensitive data so you might want to check it first and you certainly don't want to post it on the forum.
The second feature is the option to rollback to previous version of the RDP Engine without having to download the previous version entirely.
You can do this for an individual entry in the session configuration:
Default means it will take the value from the preferences (see below).
V2 is the stable version from previous version
V3 is the latest version with fixes and instability
Or you can change it for all session with the preferences:
Default is the Latest version (V3 right now)
V2 is the stable version from previous version
V3 is the latest version with fixes and instability
Try it and tell us what you get.

It is actually worse with this new version. I am getting the same problems I was before, but now have added the need to randomly log into each server 2-4 times before it ever takes hold. I log in, you see the server take my credentials and start the login process. The screen blinks and I am back to the login prompt. It doesn't always happen, but it does enough to get annoying. Sometimes it even displays the desktop of the server before it blinks.
I reverted back to 2.5.1.0.
Attached is a log file. It may contain data from both 2.5.4.0 and 2.5.1.0.
vmdbapp7.log
Basic testing of 2.5.6.0 so far is looking good.
That's good news.
Thanks for the update.

Installed 3.0.1.0 this morning. So far things looking good on it. One issue though, I can't seem to find the option to turn off the Home, Edit, View, Tools..etc toolbar across the top. It is taking up valuable real estate on my screen and needs to go.
Hi shyrax,
The new ribbon tool bar has a minimum space of the Home, Edit, Tools headers.
If you really want to maximise your real estate on your screen I suggest you switch bask to the classic UI.
Go to the User Interface Preferences and simply select classic in the User Interface drop down:
