Howdy,
We setup all of our Sessions and then realized that we left the boxes check to connect our local hard drives to the remote computers which is NOT something we want enabled. On the normal Session Properties it's on the General menu item under the Local Resources Tab. However, if I select a bunch of machines and try the Batch Edit, I don't see this as an option I can change anywhere. There seem to be most of the options missing from the Batch Edit area...
How can I change this setting on all our Sessions at once? Can I do it through the GUI? Can I do something via Powershell? Is there some other way to do that?
Thanks!
Oh. Nveermind. I found it under the Session Type Batch Edit option. Seems somewhat misleading since it's under General if I view Properties but Session Type in Batch Edit. hmm.
Ah well. Thanks.
Hi kelemvor,
You can select all your RDP entries and click on Edit -> Batch Edit -> Edit Sessions (Session Type Settings)

Oh Crap. I did that but it also changed all the connections to use the same Port now which completely broke everything we had. Is there any way to undo anything? Can I make the change and NOT have it also change those other fields?
Hi kelemvor,
Did you find a way to not have it apply the port changes to all machines using batch edit, I have about 1500 entries I need to change and have already had the same issue when applying a batch edit to just a handful of connections.
I ended up just reimporting all my sessions with the correct settings. You could try exporting all yours to a CSV, changing the setting you need, and then reimporting them maybe...
Thanks kelemvor, I did try some stuff with CSV like you suggested using a test database but didn't have much luck. I have ended up running a few queries against the SQL database and extracting a list of just the connections that really need updating and will just do them manually
Hi,
Is Batch Edit only available for Enterprise?
As I cannot find it anywhere on Free.
Hi SEEB,
Yes, batch edit is only in Enterprise edition - http://remotedesktopmanager.com/Home/FeaturesGrid#UserInterfaceOrganize
