Defaults for adding new sessions

Is there a way to set the defaults for new sessions? (RDP, Text, Etc.)

I know it can be done with templates, I was just curious if you could change the "default" template


I'm wanting to create a new RDP session and have them automatically be entered in a "RDP" security group
I'm also wanting to create a new text session and have them automatically entered in a different "Notes" security group
Also it'd be nice to change some of the other settings

Is that possible at all to change those now? or are the defaults hard coded?
