Disabling the quick access toolbar
Since the UI change, this quick access toolbar is aggravating me enough to hate this application. I set it to "Show Quick Access Toolbar Below the Ribbon" and after closing the program and starting it again, the quick access toolbar is back again. So then I remove all the icons so it's simply not there and they come back when I turn it back on.
Windows applications do not have icons along the top of the title bar since it's supposed to be the title bar... so this disrupts the intuitive flow of Windows and I'd like this program to behave similarly.
In the event anyone is curious why they're so annoying, as a high DPI user I have to orient the application so that the top left hand corner is off screen otherwise I can't interact with an inch from the top or from the right of remote desktop sessions; the quick icon buttons get in the way of me attempting to adjust the application so I become frustrated.
So I guess, where's the option to disable these things? Thanks in advance.

I have quick and easy solution: use the v7.x UI interface. You can change it in the application options: File->Options

David, thank you! I was tired after a long day and so agitated with this issue that I looked for every other option related to bars and icons, that I didn't consider an option to revert to the classic interface. Quite frankly, I prefer the classic interface anyhow so this solution makes me the happiest. Thanks again!
I don't know if you'd consider it a bug or not but you might want to consider those two options mentioned below don't save between restarts of the program.
The quick bar customization is not implemented. We will add this eventually. Thank you very much for your comments.
