Hi,
How do you add a SQL data source as you do in the windows client?
Kind Regards
Or alternatively, is there a way to export and import with the android client from the windows client
Hi Graham,
The Android version does not currently support the SQL data source.
We will investigate what can be done.
As an alternative, in windows, you could export your sql data source and import it into and new Devolutions Online Drive data source (DOD).
In Android, you can create a new DOD data source and connect it to the one that you created in windows (which contains the imported sql data source connections).
You will not have a sql data source but all you connections will be available through DOD.
Here is a link for the export/import: http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/tipsandtricks_data_migration.htm

Hi Nic,
Cheers, unfortunately we cannot use DOD as it would violate our security policies
Fingers crossed for SQL support or the ability to import from a file in the future
Kind Regards,
Graham
Hi Nic,
We've imported a few via the DOD drive and they appear on the Tab. However when we click launch on them, nothing happens?
Is there something we've missed?
Kind Regards,
Graham
Also on another device i've been able to export the xml and import it on the tab. once i closed the app and re-opened it picked it up, but again i cant launch?
Hi Graham,
Are you Launching an RDP Connection ?
Only RDP is supported for now.
If you are trying to launch an RDP Session, can you retry, then go to settings and send us the logs.

Nicolas Dufour
Hi Nic,
Yea we tried both an RDP and a web link Neither launched once opened. Just sending the logs now
Hi Graham,
The launch action is only implemented for connections of type RDP. It is a bug if it appears for other types (so the web link should not work for now and this is normal).
The launch problem for your RDP connection could be related to a setting in the RDP connection.
Could you send us prints screens of the RDP connection that is failing to launch (tabs: General, Display, Local Resources, Programs, Experience, Connection and Advanced).
You can send them at : support@devolutions.net

Nicolas Dufour
Will do Nic,
I take it you mean from the windows client as in the android client you only get the option to launch or delete?
Hi Graham,
Yes, from the windows client.

Hi Graham,
We need information about the credential that you are using (DC4 ....)
For now, we only support credentials of type : Username / Password
The username/password credential does not support the option Always ask password
Can you verify which type of credential you are using.
If it is not of type username/password OR if it is of type username/password and the Always ask password option is selected, the launch option will fail.
Regards,
Nicolas Dufour
Hi Nic,
We are using Username/Password, and the password is not set to always ask password
Hi Graham,
When you press launch on your connection, you say that nothing happens.
You do not see a certificate window ? the application does not crash ? just nothing ...
Regards,
Nicolas Dufour
Hi Nic,
Yea we see absolutely nothing. We click launch and nothing occurs other than the popup window (launch, delete) disappears. No error, certificate, or app crash
The only thing i do notice is, when looking at the description of the RDP, it lists the username as blank rather than show the credential repository entry?
Hi Graham,
Since you are using the credential repository to retrieve the credentials it is normal you do not see the username.
Can you tell us your Android version and your windows server version.
Regards,
Nicolas Dufour
Hi Nic
We have two devices. One running Android 5.02 and the other 4.4. Both are the samsung tab s. Windows server we are trying to connect to are 2008 r2
Hi Graham,
Thank you for the information.
It is as if it the connection does not even try to connect. If it fails to connect you would get an error message or something.
Can you export your RDP connection and your credentials and send them to me at : ndufour@devolutions.net
If there is a security issue, you can always change the username and the password of your credentials before exporting them.
With the tools that we have here it will be easier to investigate.

Nicolas Dufour
Forum Update from our (Graham and I) email exchange
===================================
After analyzing the connection, we found out that setting a Display Mode other than Embedded prevents the RDP connection from being launched. This is a bug in the Android version and it will be fixed in the next update.
