Allow show credentials (everybody) always on?

Allow show credentials (everybody) always on?

Hi!

We plan to buy RemoteDesktopManager for all our It admins and have tested the enterprise trial version. We would like to set up RDP and Web Connections for our helpdesk-team who should be able use the connection but are not able to see the passwords.

- With Administrative Acocunt: Under "Data Source Settings" we have unchecked "Allow reveal password for administrator and authorized users" and we have unchecked "Allow show credentials"

- When logging in to same data source with an user account (privilegs "allow reveal password" und User management unchecked, the user is not able to see the password or copy the pw to clipborad as suggested, BUT: The user is able to edit the credential, check the box "allow show credentials" and is able to copy the password in cleartext to clipboard.

Is this a bug or is there any possible to give non-admin Users the ability to use RDP Connections or Web Connections without seeing the password in cleartext?

Hi Gernot,

What type of data source are you using?

The user copy the password from a RDP session? Could you post a print screen please.

Best regards,

Hi,
We will protect this setting and in the next update only an administrator will be able to change the Allow show credentials
