Hi folks at Devolutions,
thanks for providing such a great tool which we use daily with nearly 1000 remote hosts to connect to.
We recently added a customers network openVPN connection which requires authentication with username and password.
This does not work at the moment as RDM waits for a window named "OpenVPN - User Authentication" but the window
is named "OpenVPN - Benutzer Authentifizierung".
I have read about similar problems but all of these should be fixed by now as the forum entries are quite old, so we obviously
"found" a new situation.

Hi,
Could you post the a print screen of the authentication dialog. RDM is looking for a specific title to find the window and I suspect that it might have changed or it could be different. I have verified and we already are looking for those window titles
"Authentification d'utilisateur", "Benutzer Authentifizierung", "Autenticazione dell'utente"
I think that RDM must also be executed with the Run As Administrator to open this VPN.

unfortunately, this does not work, neither by running as Administrator nor with your window titles.

same problem on every workstation on our network.
Win7 pro 64bit and Win8.1 64bit
I will ask Hubert to add little debug to list the window title that we find. This will at less give us a clue to verify if we find it.

Hello,
I attached to this post an updated version of the OpenVPN addon. You can install it by putting it in %LocalAppData%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager. This will overwrite the previous version of the add-on.
With the new version, you should have a new tab in the settings of the Open VPN connection called "Settings", which will have a checkbox to enable debugging. When you run the connection, it will show you the list of windows that were found if it could not send the username and password to the login window.
Could you test this out and see if RDM manages to find the login window?

The system still says: Can't find the window name: OpenVPN - User Authentication

im also having this problem. With openvpn 2.30. x64 with latest release of rdm.
ANy suggestion? what is going wrong.
sometimes user authentication screen does come up some times not!
