Difference between RDM Enterprise and standard windows MSTSC
Good afternoon,
I am attempting to troubleshoot an issue involving Remote Desktop easy Print. I have discovered that when using Remote Desktop Manager, printer redirection uses the actual driver that is installed on our Terminal Server. However, when I am using just standard MSTSC my printer is using the Remote Desktop Easy Print driver. Can anyone explain why this difference is occurring?

Hi,
I suspect that your driver is in 64 bit and RDM Free is only a 32 bit application. The Enterprise edition has both 32 and 64 bit. Could you download a trial and verify this?

I am using the Enterprise Free trial if that makes a difference. Version 10.5.4.0
Have you tried to execute RemoteDesktopManager64.exe instead of RemoteDesktopManager.exe?

So, that is interesting. When I run the x64 version of RDM I wind up using the Remote Desktop Easy print driver. I am not sure I understand why that would be. My workstation and all servers are x64. I am not sure what running the x86 version of RDM has to do with the print driver that is currently installed.
I'm pretty sure that's because the 32bit driver is not installed.
