rdm 7.9.11 UI bugs

avatar

running RDM 7.9.11.0
Windows 7 all updates applied

-after disabling ribbon the File, Edit, View, etc top pane is still visible.
Have attempted to select View -> Layout -> Top Pane and select/deselect but menu remains.

-When ribbon is disabled, and file menu is selected, you must click within an RDM area to clear the box.
If you try and click once inside an RDP session to clear RDM file menu's the menu's do not disappear. Very annoying.
Screenshot attached.

-Navigation search box cannot be disabled

-Navigation tabs (opened sessions, favorites, most recently used, tools) cannot be hidden/disabled

-connection tabs above RDP sessions cannot be hidden/disabled. If you have more than 20 open sessions these tabs can get out of hand.

- when navigation tree is hidden, user MUST click on the actual vertical "navigation" text in order for the navigation window to pop out. This leaves all the grey space wasted. Clicking on the grey space does not pop out the navigation window.

- when clicking Help -> About .. the "about" window is improperly set as always on top. If the about window is displayed and a user attempts to look at another window the about window will be on top of the other application.

- dashboard tab cannot be closed. Even if users did want connection tabs they are unable to close the dashboard tab for some unknown reason.

Thank you for you feedback. We are about to release the v8 and I will try to work on this after the release. It seems that you don't really like our new UI and I'm sorry for that. We will try to improve it in the future version.

I have no feelings towards the new UI one way or the other.
I just like a minimalist UI because I use this program to manage hundreds of RDP sessions and that's it. I don't need flashy ribbons, buttons everywhere, menus all over the place, tabs that duplicate navigation tree behavior, etc.
