Hi,

I have lost the local database password but I already have a backup. How can I erase or reset the database to restore it?

Thank you,

Hi Manuel
What kind of data source are you using?
Which version/edition of RDM are you using?

Hi Manuel Vera,

You can try configure a new data source in File -> Data Sources and point it on your backup file.

If it's a SQLite data source, create a new SQLite data source and configure it to use your backup file.

Let us know of the results.

Hi Brander and Jean-François.

I'm using Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager 9.2 Enterprise, and the database was the one built in.

Because it's lock "The database is protected, please enter the password", I cannot enter in the application itself and add a new data source.

I just want to reset the database and have a clean start.

Thank you,

Manuel

Hi Manuel Vera,

It's possible to remove the data source configuration.

Could you send us your remotedesktopmanager.cfg file at support@devolutions.net, I will modify it and return it to you. You will retrieve this file in %localappdata%\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager

Best regards,

@Everyone - The remotedesktopmanager.cfg file has been deleted on Manuel Vera computer. At the reopen of RDM, a new one has been created and now, Manuel Vera is now able to get in the application.

@Manuel Vera - Thank you very much for your assistance
