I dont'know if this is a bug, or if there's something corrupt in my Putty configuration, or if my version of Putty is simply too old, but when I try Import -> Import Sessions From -> Putty, all I get are the session names.
No hostnames, no settings at all: I end up with a series of empty blank sessions with all options at their defaults.
The preview / session selection window already shows this: the first column contains the session names with checkboxes, all other columns including 'host' are empty.
I would have expected at least the host names to be imported. Other options too would be better, especially since there seems to be no way to batch edit the terminal type. The menu choice (Batch Edit -> session type settings) is available, but when I click it, it says none of the selected sessions support batch edit.
I'm using version 10.1.9.0/64, Putty v0.60 (from 2007), and my Putty configuration contains only SSH sessions.

I just discovered that the host names *are* shown in Tools -> Putty Manager.
It is when trying to import into a folder through that folder's context menu that they are missing.
Hi,
I have entered a feature request for that. We will investigate and come back to you soon.

Hello Luc,
In the upcoming RDM version, there will be a few enhancements for the PuTTY import. When you import, you will be asked to import the data or just as a link. When you import as a link, it will import as a PuTTY session with the session filled out. If you choose to import as data, you will import the host, port and username, in addition to the session name.

Hi, and thanks.
There's something I don't quite get though. Was it supposed to import them as links then?
All I got was, as I said, empty SSH sessions without a host name filled in, I had to manually add the host in each session before I could use any of them.
I just tried again, now through the "Import" button in Putty Manager. In Putty Manager, the host names were shown along with connection type (ssh) and port. But when I clicked "Select All" and "Import", a new window appeared with (again) only the session names, no host or anything else.
When I continued, the session were imported at the root level, again empty. Double-clicking any of them resulted in "Unable to connect. Verify your settings. Hostname cannot be empty."
Hello Luc,
There was also an issue during the imports that made it so they didn't import correctly. This will be fixed alongside the improvements in the upcoming version.
