Using version 10.1.9.0 64-bit on Windows 7.
The character spacing in SSH sessions is too wide for the font and size used, which impairs readability.
I am including two screenshots below. The first is from Remote Desktop Manager, in a tabbed console window.
The second is from Putty, showing the same text (just some random text copied from your website).
Both are set to 10 pt Courier New.

The first screenshot (Remote Desktop Manager) appears to be slightly scaled to fit within the forum width; download the file and it should look sharper - but not better readable.
Hi Luc,
I'm not sure if we can do anything for that. I will ask Hubert to verify what we can change in the Terminal control.

Hello Luc,
Sadly, we're unable to customize the spacing between the characters, as the third party we use for the terminal doesn't support it.

Thanks anyway.
I think they tried to force fixed-pitch rendering behavior onto all possible fonts, including variable-pitch ones, by using the character cell width as fixed character width. I made the same error once, with the same result :)
You might be right about the issue. We will contact them and see if there is a workaround or if they can introduce an option for it. I'll keep you updated on the matter.

It's not a show stopper, and I guess it will get better after some getting used to.
But at the moment, and especially when quickly glancing over longer lines, my eyes sometimes fail to correctly 'see' where the word endings are.
For example "system" reads like "syst em", "manage" as "mana ge", "Last" as "La st", etc.
So thanks again for the fast reply and for your time.
Good news Luc,
We have contacted our third party and have found a workaround. It will be available in the next version of RDM. You will be able to disable it if you want in File > Options > Types > SSH/Telnet in the font category, in case it breaks certain fonts.
