Hi,
if a user rclick on folder, Batch Edit -> Edit Sessions (User Specific Settings)
it only works if the folder only contains the same type of entries (in our case RDP).
a lot of folders too contain ssh-sessions, vi-client connections, etc.
in this case batch-edit fails totally.
you have to select i.e. rdp-sessions manually from list and BatchEdit them.
that's weird. why it doesnt work for all possible session-types and ignores all unsupported types?
kind regards,
markus

Hello,
Its designed this way. You could submit a feature request presenting a use case in the forum dedicated to that.
A nice tool I use to multi select a bunch of sessions is our Advanced Search, you can select by type, folder, etc.
Best regards,
Maurice
Hi,
The problem is that ignoring the unsupported type could be confusing. I will see what I can do to improve this.

thx david, that would be great.
batch-edit doesn't work if unsupported types are marked too,
but it would be better if it only skips them.

I could add an option to ignore the unsupported type.

Hello Markus,
When you select a folder or a group of entries, you will be able to choose to edit the user and local specific settings, no matter if there's an entry that doesn't support it in the group.
If there are any unsupported entries, you will be asked to confirm that you want to continue and you will know which entries won't be modified since they're not supported.
This will be available in the next RDM version.
