Hi Guenther,

Could you try to check the option Use tab strip overflow (disable multiline tab pages) in File -> Options -> User Interface.
http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/file_options_ui_ui.htm

You can also remove the group name from the tab with the setting Show group in tab title in File -> Options -> User Interface.

hi Jean,
thanks! i knew i did set this option a while ago but didn't spot it though i was looking carefully for it ...

i also tried to search for it but was confused about the results i found when searching for "tab".

maybe the "Default" to "Windows" results are shown because it is a "ribbon-tab"?

anyways .. thanks again for your quick reply!

Hi.

we often have multiple tabs open at the same time and we would like to have all these tabs in one straight line.
I checked the option 'Use tab strip overflow (disable multiline tab pages)' as described here, but I got the same/similar result as unchecked.

Additionally, I removed the group tabs and changed the layout to Default (menu), in the hope that it will works.

How can I set it to get the tabs in one line?

Thank you!

kind regards,

Hello,

We have been able to reproduce your issue.

A ticket has been opened to our engineering department.

Hello,

Actually, the application should be restarted for the option to take effect.
The issue has been fixed and the next release of RDM should show a message when activating the option.

I want all my tabs to be displayed in rows. It was working fine in all previous versions prior to v12. After updating, everything is in one line.

I've tried adjusting "Use tab strip overflow (disable multiline tab pages)" (and restarted RDM) twice. Still the same.

Hello Ricky,
We had to update the third party. The other one was deprecated and not updated. Unfortunately I've checked and they don't support the multi-lines. I don't have a solution for now but I will try to be creative and find a way. I can't give you a time frame.

Sorry about that.

Hi David,

Sorry but I have no idea what that means? What "3rd party" were you referring to? This multi-row tab view feature has nothing to do with 3rd parties? It's just an option that you can toggle on or off and is built into your product. I don't see how changing the tabs from single row to multi-row has anything to do with 3rd parties???

Furthermore, if this feature somehow broke and stopped working in v12, shouldn't this be reflected in the changelog? Shouldn't the option to toggle this be removed? The fact that I could still toggle it and it does nothing, makes me rather frustrated as to why I even upgraded to v12 in the first place.

Is there an ETA on when this will be fixed? At the moment I'm just stuck on v11.7.6.

Hi,
We use DevExpress (third-party component) for the tabcontrol and they don't support anymore the Multi-Row tab.

https://www.devexpress.com/Support/Center/Question/Details/S38260

This means that it's not broken on our side. I've already requested the change to DevExpress but I can't give you an ETA. I haven't check the Classic Mode but I think we still support it. This is the original UI without the third party. You could give it a try.
