Cross-Platform Hyper-V connections

I love the fact that RDM appears to support a Hyper-V console now. I was wondering if this is true of the different versions of Hyper-V - namely 2008 R2 and 2012 R2? As I am sure you are aware, the native MS tools require the workstation OS to be Win8/8.1 for 2012 R2 and Win7 (and prior) for 2008 R2. Therefore, a manager running a standard Windows 7 workstation is unable to manage a 2012 R2 Hyper-V console.

Does RDM solve this?
