I would say at least once a day when I log off of a remote desktop session it hangs/crashes my RDM application. It comes up with Not Responding so I have to X out and reopen the application. Its never the same system that I log off of that this happens and I have no more than 6 sessions going. This also happens to other people I work with. This is the only app I have issues with on my pc. Im using Windows 8.1 and RDM is a version 10.1.9.0. Enterprise Edition. Is this a known bug and is there any upcoming releases that will address this? Thanks!
Hello,
Have you seen http://blog.devolutions.net/2014/12/rdm-hangs-when-logging-off-rdp-sessions.html

Thanks Maurice! I will start with step one in the link you mentioned, although that means changing settings on 455 sessions! I will let you know which of the 2 fixes work for me. Thanks!
Batch edit to the rescue
Multi-select them and you'll be able to use Batch Edit - Edit Sessions (Session type settings)
I recommend you set them to Default, then use the File - Options - Types - RDP screen to set the default to False.
Maurice
Thanks Maurice, that does make things easier, however for the first recommendation, all individual settings are at Default and the "Load plug-ins in embedded mode" is already set to False in the File - Options - Types - RDP screen. For the second recommendation, it looks like it wants me to change the registry on the machine I am RDPing to. The 455 sessions I have in RDM are all servers and changing the registry is not an option. If I'm supposed to change the registry on my own machine please let me know, otherwise, what other solutions can I try? Thanks Maurice!

Hello,
Can you change a few to confirm that it fixes the issue? If it does, we have a few tricks to process all of your machines.

Maurice
Unfortunately no. The servers I log into daily are production servers like DCs, SQL, and Web servers and disabling UDP in those registries cannot happen. Do you have any other suggestions?
Hello,
This doesn't disable UDP itself, just its usage by the RDP protocol.
We do not have other suggestions.
Best regards,
Maurice
The issue seems to be resolved. I was logged in as the RDM admin that had full rights in both RDM and the SQL database. Once I created a regular user in RDM and reopened RDM as the regular user, the issue of the app crashing has not come back. If the app crashes again I will disable UDP on a few servers and report back. But in case others have this issue, so far the solution seems to be making sure you are a regular user and not a RDM admin. This has also worked for others in my office.
