Hello Devolutions Team
I once read in a blog or news entry, that there is an option to password protect a RDP connection, just with a password, for example if I don't want that anyone is connecting to it for some time. (Because I do something on it for a day). There was also an option to display a text next to the password.
I don't speak about the passwords which are used to login to the customer, it was an option in RDM to protect an RDP connection with just a simple password.
A little hint where this option is would be great.. as I already searched all properties with no luck.
Best regards.
Patrick
Hello,
You can use the Status to indicate that a session is not to be used. When you choose something other than Default, it prompts you for a message that will be displayed when people try to use it. In your case I would choose Locked.
Best regards,
Maurice
Hello again,
The feature that prompts for a password is in the Events - Before Connect, choose the Message Prompt setting.
Usually, we use it to display a message like "Please enter YES to confirm XXXX", and in the passcode field we set YES.
We recommend it not as a usual password, but more of a jolt to confirm that users are not opening this session by mistake.

Hello Maurice
Yes! Excatly that's what I was looking for!
Thanks a lot!
Cheers
Patrick
I also tried out the "Status" Locked just to see what it does. It does not display any message, just next to the entry it says "locked".. so this is only a text info, which does not really locks anything.
My mistake, sorry
You have to use the status disabled to prevent it from running.
