Hi. I'm currently testing Remote desktop manager to see if I should switch from my current software...
Is there a way to set up multiple usernames and passwords for one stored session? Idea is that there are few terminal servers where I must connect with different users so each time when I don't need my account I connect without credentials and enter needed ones... this is really frustrating. Maybe there is a way to lets say edit actions where I can add 10 users with passwords?
Hello,
We have a few options, although 10 credentials for a host is something I've never seen for a single user. It would be useful to know if these credentials are used for other devices, as well as the frequency of usage for the various credentials. Here goes:
Thats a lot of options, do not hesitate to ask further clarifications.
This assumes you are using an Advanced data source: MSSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Devolutions Online Database, or Remote Deskkop Manager Server.
XML or SQLite are considered to be data sources for individuals.
Best regards,

Hi, I'm using the HOST method with alternative credentials you've described above as a workaround.
I found RDM would not allow me to connect with another set of credentials... I actually need to be logged in to the same server twice as different credentials simultaneously, it would just shift focus to my current connection to that server.
Is there a better way or can RDM be patched to permit multiple connections to the same server using the right-click "Open with Parameters" option as I originally expected to be able to do?
Andrew
Hello,
You must allow multiple connections.
In each session properties : Advanced - Miscellaneous, Allow open multiple connections - set to true
OR
at the system level, File - Options - General (root node), Connection -> Allow multiple connections (default), set to True;
Best regards,
Maurice
Thanks Maurice, didn't see that option there, works a treat.
RDM is great and much better than visionapp, it could do with a setup wizard for new users with some of these common questions though as a bit in the deep end to start with, but worked out the default template settings I needed, inheriting credentials, adding them, and syncing from AD (sadly not in that order, thank heavens for Bulk update), it now does everything visionapp did for me and more, love the plugins such as KeePass as well.
Andrew
thanks, happy that it worked out
We've been discussing an "induction wizard" for the longest time, never gets high enough in the priorities though, crossing my fingers for v12 ;)

Hi, there some way to show which user a connection is using or make RDM tr user next free user?
@rodrigoribeiro,
What version of RDM are you using?
Could you elaborate on what you are trying to accomplish? Not sure to understand you request properly.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
I have some RDP connecitions that have two or more logins that my users can user to log in.
For example, suppose i Have a RDP called "MyServer" and I can log in with users "User1", "User2" and "User3"
Suppose that my RDM users are Alice, Bob and Carol.
If Bob Log with user User1 into MyServer, ALice and Carol can use "User2" and User3 without disconnect Bob.
I want a way to RDM show to Alice oir Carol , that Bob is logged in with "User 1". And she can try user another (or RDM do this automatically)
Hello,
After having a discussion with our Engineering Department on that matter, they have confirmed that we don't have a way to achieve this at the moment.
That being said, this is an interesting concept and a ticket has been opened with them to see what can be done.
In the meantime, the closest thing you could do is create multiple RDP entries that point to the same host but that use different credentials. To allow them to see that these connections are currently in use, you could use the Checkout System feature.
We will be in touch as soon as we will have an update to provide.
Best regards,
James Lafleur
Thanks James. I will wait for some new feature =)
