So when I create my private credentials to store my username and password info, where exactly is that stored and how is it secured? We have some people wanting to know the security behind that to insure that my credentials can't be accessed by someone else and things like that.
Thanks.
Hi,
This is stored locally on your machine and it's encrypted with the machine key and our private key.

So if my computer dies and I have to get a new one, or I get reimaged, or whatever, I lose all that information? Can it be backed up somehow and transported to a new computer or saved into the database or anything like that?
Hi,
You could use the Private vault instead if you want it portable. For now My Private Credentials is not portable for security reason.

Oh sorry. I meant that I was creating my personal credentials in the "Private Vault" section. The 2nd tab over in the UI.
Ah ok, this is saved in the database directly and encrypted with your information.
