quick connect template

How do create a template with saved credentials and use that for the quick connect. i see many post where it was said that people did it BUT no one said how. I need steps on how to do it please

Hi,
The template are available in the menu File->Templates. They will be listed in the quick connect dropdown after that.

Thanks but everything is in general terms. no go here click this then put this in this field i am just clicking around and fumbling with this.
the trouble i had was with the variables.
