Hello,
i would like to know, if there is any possibility to see which user has called a Credential-Entry. At the moment i just can see which user has added or edited a Credential-Entry.
We plan to use the RemoteDesktopManager in other locations and need to see/log which user has OPENED a Credential-Entry (with or without editing it).
Is there any option i can activate or is it possible to implement such an feature ?
Best regards,
Florian Schneider
Do you mean when a credential is used by another connection (linked)?
David Hervieux
Hi,
lets say a user has used a RDP-Session with a linked Credential, we need to see (if we do a rightclick on this Credential-Entry and select "View" -> "Logs") that this user has used a RDP-Session where THIS Credential-Entry (and so this username and password) were used.
Furthermore we also need to see when a user has opened a Crential-Entry to see its content, so if the user do a rightclick on this Credential-Entry and click "Edit Credential Entry". At the moment we only can see if a user has added or edited a Credential-Entry, but we also need to see / log if a user only has opened this entry to see its content without changing anything.
Best regards,
Florian
Thank you. I have entered a feature request

Great, thank you.

Hey David,
can you give me any update on this issue?
Best regards,
Florian
This should be in the 8.0 final

This is now in the latest beta

Hey David,
i just installed the latest Version (8.0.1.0) on my client for testing it before the rollout. The logging works great so far.
Is it possible to add a log for clicking the "Eye"-button below a Credential-Entry ? We need to log this too because it is a way to see the password of a customer.
Best regards,
Florian
Hi,
This is easy to do but could you post a screenshot of where exactly you want it?
David Hervieux
Hey David,
until the password is shown as plaintext, we dont need to log the user action.
But if the user clicking the "Eye-Button" to see the customer password in plaintext, we need to log it.
So, we need to log something like the following if we do a rightclick on the Credential-Entry an click "View - Logs"
Best Regards,
Florian
Sorry,
I mean a print screen of the full window. I want to make sure that's the right one.
David Hervieux
Ok, you mean like this ?
Exactly
David Hervieux
I thought that this was this dialog and now I'm sure.
