I've been evaluating a number of remote desktop applications in the hopes of finding one that will allow me to view a session scaled larger than natural RDP supports as a number of us have monitors with a considerably higher resolution than our clients, so regular mstsc is producing an experiance with a desktop that's basically unreadable.
Remote Desktop Manager enhances my productivity unfortunately it's scaling ability produces issues I experienced with other programs I evaluated...
Basically, I can't click on anything that's about 1 inch from the border of the screen. I suffered with this situation for about a week until I discovered that if I stretch the window beyond my monitor 1's size, so the corner of Remote Desktop Manager is stretched into monitor two and if I move the ression to the corners of monitor 1, I can click within that 1" area.
Can anyone offer advise on how this can be corrected? The software is pretty good otherwise, but stretching every session to take up two monitors is unwieldy.
Is it possible that this only happen in embedded mode. Have you tried the external mode? I saw some problem when the people use the large font. Is it your case?
One last thing, could you try to disable the backgroud in the RDP session?

This happens only in embedded mode, yes. I don't know how to have the scaled up view in any other mode. I have a feeling this is a functional problem with Microsoft's client more than an issue with this specific software package. I do not use large font but I use the scaled up embedded mode to make the tiny font bigger on a larger resolution.
I've already disabled background, themes, etc., and it did not have a positive effect.
Hi,
Exactly this is related to the ActiveX. However Windows 8 only use the ActiveX now so maybe Microsoft will fix this problem.
