I built a SQL database containng IP's and server names for all of the servers in our environment for RDP connections and would like our operation staff to have limited access to this information. Is there a way to allow our operations staff in California to only see the servers in California and our operations staff in Florida to see their respective servers? We have enterprise licensing and I would like to maintain one database to accomplish this.
Thanks
Hey it is possible with the "Security Groups :)
1. You can create the groups there
File -> Administration -> Security Groups...
2. define the security groups for the connection, folder, etc. ;)
3. Edit the Users and define the rights of the security groups
File -> Administration -> Users
Thank you Martin. You can also use the "Edit User Specific Settings" to override the default values.

Thanks dhervieux and Martin, that is what I needed.
The combination for folders and security groups works well. You can place the California sessions under a specific folder and assign a security group to it. The California operation staff are made members of this security group. In 7.5 you need to assign the user permissions (view,add,edit, and/or delete) within the security group which is a very nice feature. Just remember to enable "cascade security to children" in the folder configuration. Also since only one security group can be assigned to a resource, folder or session, groups are resource focus not departmental. You can assign multiple security groups to a user.
I was able add users from AD. Is there an option to Groups as well?
Hi,
Role management with AD group integration is only available in Remote Desktop Manager Server. Sorry about that.
