Editing User Security Groups in RDM 7.5

Editing User Security Groups in RDM 7.5

avatar

It appears that I can't add or remove view or edit permission to a user for any security groups. It use to be I would add security groups to a user to grant permission levels in RDM in version 7.1. How it appears all groups are shown in the user management dialog windows for a given user. It appears the administrator should be able to enable or disable the view or edit permissions for a security group, but I cannot change any security group settings for a user now.

This is what I'm seeing for User Management windows. Any attempt to click or right click on a group just display the export menu. It appears I can't set user group member anymore. I checked the latest user manual but it does appears to be updated for the new security group features.

Oh,
It's because of the large font. I have updated the binaries recently to fix that. Could you try to download it again?

I tried the latest version of the MSI file, but it didn't fix it. Do I need to uninstall and re-install, or is the update just in the Binary Zip file? If the zip file do I just copy the new files over the old files?

Use the zip and override the files

Sorry, no change. I download the zip, extracted the files, and copy the file over the installed files using the same directory structure.
I used the link on this webpage:

If you resize the form and the colums, does it help?

Doesn't seem too. The image below is of the user management dialog window resized larger with a few of the columns resided larger. The column sizing seem to be functioning in an odd way. To increase the "View" column size and reduce the Name column I had to adjust the bar separator between the view and add column.

I'm working on a fix today

Thanks, our RDM implementation is at a halt because of this issue.

I've just reproduced the problem. This should not be long before you get a new build

Sorry, still the same. FYI: I don't see any files with dates newer then 7/23/2012. I know sometimes the file date don't get updated depending on how the modification occurs, just wanted to let you know in case there should have been a file with a more recent date.

I dont understand, it's changed for me but maybe you browser used the cached file. try this one:

Doubt it was the browser since Firefox download manager pull down the file and I watch the bar graph process from beginning to end. More likely a proxy server some were in the communication chain. Anyway this Zip does show files dated yesterday and it appeared to resolve the issue. Thanks. One less issue cool!

Please me know when the msi file is updated, I need to sent it to a few users. Might need a different file name to avoid the cache issue. I going to contact our network team to see if they or our ISP installed a proxy server lately. Thanks again.

The msi was updated at the same time and thank you very much for your patience and help

Can you give me different file name for the MSI file. Looks like I'm hitting a proxy server somewhere in the communication chain. Our browsers are not configured for a proxy server so this must be a server at our ISP. Thanks.
