RDP with RD Gateway will suddenly close session
When working with a RDP session using an RD Gateway, the session may suddenly close while idling a little bit. This does not happen when connecting without the RD Gateway, e.g. through VPN or to another server.
Something in the timeout/keep-alive mechanism must be losing the connection when RD Gateway is involved.

I know that the Gateway has an automatic disconnect timeout. Could it be possible that the case?

I don't think so. When we connect to the same server using RD Gateway using MSTSC on Windows or Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac, then it works fine.
So it must be in the RDM implementation of RD Gateway connections.

Also, latest version (1.1.15.0) continues to hang or connect very slowly via RDG.
Also, if "warn" is set in connections, extra requests to connect are displayed despite the unrecognized key and RDM sometimes fails or hangs to connect. (Wish there was a group edit to enable me to set "connect and don't warn me" globally).
I keep hoping that RDM Mac will improve to the point I can use it -- all I use and need from the Windows version are quick, reliable connections, batch edit and good LastPass integration. But so far, no joy.
I ran into another issue with .15 and .16, so I had to revert back. I will create another bug report for that to track it separately and hope that it is resolved, so the RDG issue can be tested.
