Is the update notification pop up a bug or is it intentional? Is there a way to disable this?
Hi,
Sorry to ask, could you post a print screen of the notification you are talking about? Do you mean the one that said that your free upgrade period is over?

Not sure if the OP was experiencing this issue, but I have had trouble with the update request notification. Here is a screen shot of what I'm currently experiencing.
If the application is run, and then you select another application while it is loading it seems as though the application is hung when it really is waiting for upgrade confirmation. This can be repeated by selecting the program via the icon on the task bar. The notification is only visible if you alt+tab to the application. It is understandable that you'd want your customer to upgrade to the latest version, but it would be nice if this request could be silenced in some way.
Since we are using this application in an organization the ability to upgrade software comes around once a year when budgets are submitted, and even then it isn't a sure thing. Leading to at minimum 2 years of feeling bad that we can't upgrade, and remembering to select no.

Hi,
Unfortunately your are using an old version and I'm not sure if you can disable the auto update check. However I think that's possible. Could you verify the settings in File->Options

Not going to lie, pretty embarassed to have not checked the options first before looking for support online. You were correct, there is an option to enable/disable looking for updates on startup. Thank you for your quick and patient response.
