Fails to Launch - Encountered an Error

Hello,
I am running Windows XP SP3 and Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager 5.8.2. I have been using RDM on this laptop computer for several years without issue. In the last few weeks, something occurred to where RDM will no longer launch, with a pop up window reporting "Remote Desktop Manager has encountered a problem". I have uninstalled and reinstalled newer versions of RDM , with no change in behavior. I have reinstalled the .net framework with no change in behavior. I have not been able to locate a similar reported problem in this forum or through my internet searches. I appreciate any advise is troubleshooting this problem. Thank You.

Hi,
This is a weird error because it crashes before RDM start. It's not our error screen. If you have installed the current version, you need .NET 3.5. Could you take a look at the event viewer to verify if you can find more details?

GP,

I agree with David. Verify your .NET version, as well as checking through the event logs under Application for any "Application Hang" or "Application Error" entries. Have you also considered upgrading your version of RDM as the one you're currently using is a little out dated :)
